the village of Salen, 10 miles to the north of the ferry at Craignure where
the ferry arrives from Oban. The passage time on-board the ferry is

equipped with microwave, fridge freezer, electric cooker, and, as the
cottage, all the utensils you need.
Two newly converted cottages
offering spacious and modern facilities set in a 700 acre moorland organic
farm on the beautiful and unspoilt Ross of Mull. The cottages nestle in a
sheltered corner of the farm above Loch Assapol and have stunning views
across the loch to the mountains of Mull beyond. The cottages make an ideal
base for beaches, walking, sea and loch fishing. The area is also a paradise
for bird watchers. Loch Assapol is a freshwater loch with Brown Trout, Sea
Trout and Salmon. Guests are allowed to fish the Loch and there is a boat
available. The farm has both Highland and 'ordinary' cows. We also grow
cereals and potatoes. To date we have also planted over 100 acres of
hardwood trees.
We have built a track for 4
wheel drive vehicles to the south side of our land which leads to the sea
and our three beautiful secluded sandy beaches. Here is a great site to
camp, swim, laze about, or even catch a fish for your breakfast.
Ardness House is a
spacious modern bungalow (with ensuite facilities) situated between
Bunessan and Fionnphort on the southernmost peninsula of the Isle Of Mull,
in the locality known as the "Ross of Mull". The Elevated position of

prominent headland known as "Burg". Ardness House is a non-smoking
establishment.

Craignure. During May, the sun sets directly across the sea from a point
located in the middle of the village.
The peninsula of Ardtun is
ideal for short walks along roadways and, because the accommodation
overlooks the bay, walking into Bunessan village is a pleasant stroll
alongside the sea. The village itself has two small grocery stores and a
gift shop which are adequate for the purchase of both food for self-catering

takes about one hour to drive from the ferry terminals and from Tobermory.
The geological raised beaches in this corner of Mull give the farm an
elevated position overlooking the Sound of Coll, with the fingerlike Island
of Coll pointing out towards the mountains of Rum with the sharp edges of
the Cuillins on Skye in the distance. A coastal path wanders around this
dramatic headland, revealing spectacular views out to the islands of Coll,
Tiree, Rum, Skye, Canna, Muick, Eigg, Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. When
it is very clear you can see as far as the Uists, 50+ miles away.
Treshnish has a traditional
farm square, with vernacular stone steadings, one mile along an unmetalled
farm track from the public (single track) road. There are three cottages and
the Studio at Treshnish Farm available to let.

Scheme in recognition of our excellent management and environmentally and
ecological business practices. At Seaview, comfortable accommodation is our

to the Isle of Mull and Iona. We ensure that our rooms and accommodation are
clean and comfortable and the delicious food we serve enhances your stay.
Evening meals are available in the Spring & Autumn and since John is a
retired fisherman, fresh seafood dinners are available at Seaview.
If you know the story of
Fingal, the giant who strode from Ireland to the nearby Isle of Staffa, then
you will know why our Fingal’s Breakfast and extensive mouth watering
breakfast menu, catering for all tastes is best remembered by all who pass
this way - the perfect start for days of discovery and exciting adventures
to be had from here.
Barn Cottage and Stables are
converted stone barns forming part of the original Gruline Home Farm. We are
centrally located and enjoy a quiet position off the main road amongst trees
and farmland close to both Loch Na Keal and Loch Ba. We live with our small
family of animals away from the hustle and bustle, where time can go as
quickly or slowly as you please. Tucked away behind Barn Cottage are the
stables and field where we keep our horse, his companion sheep and a few
chickens and guinea pigs.
We offer Bed and Breakfast in
Barn Cottage. Visitors have their own entrance and are welcome to come and
go as they please. We have just two rooms - our twin room has a wash hand
basin ensuite and its own private bathroom (which has a bath with shower
over) is just a few steps along the hallway. The family room, which can
sleep four, has an ensuite bathroom, again with bath and shower over. Both
rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and irons.
Gruline Home Farm has been
awarded 5 Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board, the award having been held
now for the past 8 years. We look after our guests on a dinner, bed and
breakfast basis on a non-working farm, and are centrally situated on the
island, which allows easy access to the whole of Mull, without having to
criss cross over the same roads on a regular basis.
We are set in two and a half
acres of gardens and pastureland, the gardens are very attractive and we
have an ongoing scheme planned for constant improvement of the grounds. Our
facilities are to a very high standard, and in our Georgian/Victorian
non-working farm, we have retained the family home atmosphere.
Mull is a bird and nature
lover’s paradise. Golden and sea-eagles, hen harriers, red starts,
red-throated divers, short-eared owls, otters, seals, fallow and red deer
are all frequently observed. Torlochan Farm is a small working croft of 32
acres situated in the centre of Mull. It is 20 minutes from picturesque
Tobermory; 25 minutes from Craignure and 15 minutes from Fishnish. Only 7
miles from Torlochan is Ulva Ferry, where you can take boats to the Isle of
Ulva, Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, famous for it’s bird-life, most
notably puffins. Torlochan is one and a half hours away from Fionnphort,
where boats go to Iona and Staffa on a regular basis. We are only 6 miles
from the base of Ben More - the second highest mountain in the Hebrides.
The farm is surrounded by
heather and tree covered hillsides, groves of trees, gentle streams and open
fields overlooking Loch na Keal and the Isles of Staffa. Our farm is shared
by a band of friendly animals: wild deer; horses; pot-bellied pigs; poultry;
doves; our three cats and our German Shepherd, Virgo. A latest addition is a
resident junior Eagle nesting behind the farm.
Gruline Home Farm bed and
breakfast is a non-working farm, situated centrally on the Isle of Mull,
which is just off the West Coast of Scotland; and is the only establishment
on the Isle of Mull to have been awarded 5 stars by the Scottish Tourist
Board, 5 Red Diamonds by the AA and RAC "Little Gem". We are proud of our AA
Rosette for food, and were runners-up for the Macallan's Taste of Scotland
Award 2002, gaining 4 medallions. Set in two and a half acres of gardens and
pastureland the gardens are very pretty and there is an ongoing scheme to
make it one of the best private gardens on the Isle of Mull. Last winter's a
large rockery project has now been completed and we are very happy with the
results.
Our facilities are of a very
high standard, and in our Georgian/Victorian non-working farm, we have
retained the family home atmosphere. Although we only have two bedrooms and
our classification is bed and breakfast, we could equally be described as a
mini-country guest house or hotel but unfortunately these categories do not
exist.
The house is on mains
electricity and has a private water supply. There is an electric cooker,
refrigerator, microwave and fully equipped kitchen. There is also a
multifuel stove in the living room, which heats the water but has the back
up of an immersion heater. Each bed has two pillows a continental quilt and
blanket, sheets, pillowcases quilt cover and towels are provided. There is
car parking space and pets are welcome. The payphone number is 01680 814
205. There is a double sofa bed and bedding.
Milk and papers can be
ordered from the local shop at Craignure (The Ferry Terminal) and will be
delivered to the house around lunchtime for a small charge. This is arranged
at the shop, 01680 812 301. The nearest garage and petrol station are also
at Craignure.

Glenaros is a working
Scottish estate on the beautiful Isle of Mull. It has been in the family of
the current owners Colum Scott and his wife Sarah since 1853 when Colum's
great grand uncle, Duncan Fletcher, a native of Glenorchy, acquired the
lands. Aros was originally a Viking settlement, the name meaning "estuary".
The estate has many historical associations; there is an Iron Age fort a
short walk away and Saint Columba is reputed to have preached a sermon from
a rock on the estate.
Visitors are welcome to walk
anywhere on the estate to enjoy the magnificent scenery, observe the
wildlife and watch the farm at work. However, please keep dogs on a lead
especially at lambing time. Each cottage has an open fire, which makes a
great focal point for socialising or relaxing after a day out. Cottages are
normally let from 3.30pm Saturday to 10am the following Saturday. Water
supply is spring fed - regularly tested in accordance with EC Regulations!

Remote and Romantic, Tiroran
House lies in 17 acres of its own secluded grounds on the north shore of
Loch Scridain. Most of the beautiful rooms and bedrooms commanding stunning
views of the gardens and loch. The garden is enchanting with spacious lawns,
a secluded rose garden and a burn tumbling down to the sea. It is a green,
tranquil and leafy place, in contrast to the island's rugged grandeur and
wild landscape.
Tiroran is more a private
house than a hotel, inside the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing with
log fires in both sitting rooms. Breakfast and dinner are served in the
intimate dining room or in the sunroom, which has a growing vine. All seven
rooms are beautifully decorated with their own individual style, decor and
outlook and all have en suite facilities. Owners Laurence Mackay and Katie
Munro take particular effort to ensure that this spectacular location
provides a haven for nature and food-lovers alike.
Tigh Na Caora is a typical
Hebridean Cottage - stone built and slate roofed. It is situated one mile
north of the Ulva Ferry on the western coast of the Isle of Mull, on a
completely unspoilt coastline of spectacular beauty and wildness. It is
tucked into the bottom of a steep wooded hillside, with fields in front and
open moorland behind, and is reached by a track through ancient oak woods.
The views from the cottage
are outstanding. To the south west the cliffs of Berg and the Ross of Mull,
westwards to the Isle of Ulva and to the north west, is the open Atlantic,
over which the sun sets in the summer. It is a quarter of a mile from a
sheltered (and usually deserted) bay, with safe bathing and sand at low
water. Behind the cottage an ancient drove road, now a green track, takes
you up into the hills and moorland of northern Mull. Within minutes you can
look back out to sea, to the isles of Iona and Inch Kenneth, and to the west
there are rocky shapes of the Treshnish Isles and beyond them the long
islands of Coll and Tiree.
