De Horse Creek Ranch,
gelegen in de Pride Valley in de staat Alberta, is 180
hectare groot. De Ranch ligt zo ín twee uur rijden
ten noordwesten van Edmonton. De onder Nederlandse
leiding gerunde Horse Creek Ranch is gesitueerd aan de Athabasca Rivier en grenst aan het noorden aan het
schilderachtige Wildland park, een natuurgebied waar
enkele van de trailrides worden gereden. Voor een paardrijvakantie op de Horse Creek Ranch is enige
ervaring gewenst. U wordt geadviseerd om voor uw
vertrek regelmatig te gaan paardrijden, zodat u nog
meer kunt genieten van de trailrides die vanaf de Horse Creek Ranch worden ondernomen.
U verblijft per twee
personen in een ruime gezellige country cabin met
verwarming. Sommige cabins zijn voorzien van een eigen
badkamer en de rest van de cabins maken gebruik van de
uitstekende sanitaire voorzieningen direct bij de cabin. Het verblijf op de Horse Creek Ranch is
gebaseerd op vol pension. Dit betekent dat er in de
centraal liggende ranch-house uitstekende `home-cooked
meals' en barbecues worden geserveerd. Er is ook een country-style vakantiehuis voor 5 personen te huur.

Eco-Lodge / Dining -
Environmental Impact - Pickerel River Waterway system. This is a wild, yet
sensitive place that attracts and inspires people in different ways and, for
some, provokes action. Such is the case for Verena and Urs Bartschi. Since
taking ownership of the historic Mirror Lodge, they have been taking steps
to better care for the environment. Now, those steps are becoming leaps and
bounds, spanning every aspect of their business, from recycling to
hot-water-system and composting toilets. Dealing with waste was first on the
agenda. Right from the start in 2003, the new owners began separating all
garbage in order to recycle the waste carefully.
In some cottages composting
toilets were installed. The hot water supply of the lodge and the restaurant
relies on the sun as its primary source. Two solar-thermal hot water panels
were installed on the roof to feed all hot water needs of the restaurant and
the lodge.
We offer to visitors a
beautiful and grand heritage home, and a contemporary new home - with quiet,
pleasant surroundings in a non-smoking environment. We are right in the
heart of Downtown Toronto where you can enjoy the best of the number one
